Write a haiku (or two) about the autumn season. Not a writer? Craft or photograph something, anything that reminds you of fall!
Make it a priority to get outside, be present in nature, and draw inspiration from your surroundings. My opinion — Autumn is the most wonderful time of the year (regardless of what Andy Williams says)!
Please share your haikus and projects, and let’s talk about our favorite season and explain why!
Yes! Leaves in the fall seem like a never-ending chore. One moment, the leaves are gone and the next, your yard is filled with leaves again. Hate this phenomenon, but I feel this poem!
Definitely still relevant! I LOVE this! Your use of punctuation in the second line is perfect! My cats are actually really great at murdering crickets (and many other creepy crawly bugs), but I can absolutely envision the chirping cricket downstairs and apathetic cats curled up in your lap doing NOTHING about it. LOL!
Here are my haiku contributions for the Fall Masterpiece challenge:
-------------------------
Trees sway in the wind.
Colors show the dying leaves.
Autumn comes again.
--------------------------
The chill in the air
has the squirrels skittering
to hide their stashes.
**Autumn's Ruse**
Leaves swept, yard pristine,
Turn around, a leafy scene,
Nature's sly routine.

This is from about a month ago but i think still relevant!
A Cold-Snap Haiku 🍁:
One. Hidden. Cricket.
Downstairs.🦗 Useless predators.
Asleep on my lap.
