Create something that reminds you of the holidays!
Do you love or hate the holidays? Write up an imagination of your ideal holiday, an outlet for handling the dysfunction, or a reminiscence of your great holiday memories.
Not a writer? Do something else creative! Paint, draw, crochet, embroider, etc. Tell us through your creation how you feel about the holidays—Joy, Stress, Anxiety, Other!
Here are some ideas to inspire if nothing immediately takes charge:
Worst/weirdest gift ever gotten?
Family Drama/dysfunction?
Most memorable ornaments?
Bears like this one adorn my Christmas tree or sprawl around the house during the holiday season. Each bear wears an accessory made from one of my father’s shirts (he passed in 2022). The gift tag shown is one of many I made with my Cricut and use during gift wrapping.
I need to take a quick break so time for a brief creative challenge!
I generally despise the idea of spending money so the "buying gifts" part of the holidays is not for me. But I do love family togetherness. This year I am planning to finally use my cookie cutters and spritzer to make a bunch of treats with the teen that potentially we can hand out so I don't eat 6 dozen cookies. I have also, as of today, decided I have enough time to make a couple corny-but-personal images for some of my gift-recipients. So this weekend I will be rolling up my sleeves and holiday-arting.

I started to do a bunch of squirrels for holiday cards because they are just so naughty and get into many predicaments.
